Not Very Visible

Everyday Monday is Visible Monday in the style blogosphere. However, it is not every Monday that you feel visible, and that is how I felt today. Usefully I think grey is a good color for me, but I don’t know what went wrong today. The only photo I was satisfied with was this, and that is mostly thanks to the owl bracelet.

Outside I wore a beige trench coat. Hello – the most neutral thing you can wear! Yes, at least if you should believe all old spy movies. I tried to make my outdoor appearance to pop a little by adding a scarf and burgundy wedges, after all it is Visible Monday. However, I don’t think it worked very well. Next time I am going for classic accessories to my trench coat, maybe a scarf with more shine to it or pastel colors, or what do you think? Please take into mind that since the summer was pretty lousy in Sweden, I am already starting to get pale.

  1. I think the scarf and the burgundy shoes totally pop with the trench! I have two trench coats; one basic beige and one basic black so I rely heavily on scarves to add some interest too. I think you look wonderful and I covet that owl cuff!

  2. I think your scarf and shoes added perfectly to pop the outfit. We are often too hard on ourselves and don’t see the lovely outfit on the lovely person like others do!

    hey anna,
i can ony agree to what debbie says, you are too hard to yourself. you look pretty and visible in your trench coat! The color and the style is flattering and the scarf is a beautiful addition. i like how the scarf repeated a bit the color of your pants.
i know how you feel, i sometime take so many photos and not a single one is satisfies me. mostly it is my facial expression i do not like. lately i found a trick and it helps: i take a look out of the window, or when i am outside into a tree or into the sky and try to think of nothing else but the green or the blue or grey i see. afterwards my facial expression is more relaxed anyway.
on sunday i too have noticed that i am starting to get pale. that was the day when my red lipstick was used again. have a good time, my dear!

Thank you Sabine! I am so glad that you found me, your comments means a lot to me! This time it was not actually the face expression, more that the colors seemed gloomy. I got myself a new camera, and I have not learned which is the best settings yet, so maybe that is a part of the problem. I will however try your trick, because it happens to me too, that I don’t feel satisfied with the facial expression. I have started to use my foundation and a blusher. Kind Regards!

  4. You do look visible and very stylish! We don’t have to be all colors from head to toe to look great – this trench is so classic and your shoes are a gorgeous accent. Thanks so much for sharing with Visible Monday!

Dear Anna, I too think you look great in this outfit! If you’re missing anything it must be the sunglasses that all proper spies wear!

I’m sorry to see that you decapitated yourself on the top photo – you have such a beautiful face, and now it’s gone (though not for good, I hope!). Your jacket is lovely too, but it’s just not the same! I hope to see your wonderful smile in the next post! Don’t be so hard on yourself!

Thank you Tine – you made me laugh as so many times before! I assure you that my face is not gone forever. The other photos was just too bad. As I told Sabine, I got myself a new camera and the colors did not turned out what I had expected. It was never my intention to sound so negative, as I understand from everyone’s comment that I did. Thank you again for all your support.
